Zayed National Museum is a world class cultural icon in Abu Dhabi. It beautifully presents the inspiring legacy of Sheikh Zayed and the story of the UAE in a meaningful and memorable way. The architecture is stunning, combining modern design with Emirati identity in a way that impresses you from the moment you arrive. Inside, every gallery is carefully arranged. You learn about heritage, nature, archaeology, national achievements, and most importantly the life and values of Sheikh Zayed. The storytelling is emotional and powerful and you walk away with a deeper appreciation of how far this country has come. The exhibits are interactive, family friendly, and very educational. You do not just see history, you feel it. The staff were professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable which added to the overall experience. This museum is a must visit for residents, tourists, students, and anyone who wants to understand the UAE’s journey and Sheikh Zayed’s legacy. We visited the Zayed National Museum and had a wonderful experience. The museum beautifully tells the story of the UAE’s history, heritage, and values, with a strong focus on the vision and legacy of Sheikh Zayed. There is also a strong sense of history tied to the land itself, which adds depth and significance to the visit. The architecture is breathtaking and a true masterpiece by Foster + Partners, while the exhibitions are engaging, informative, and thoughtfully presented. The staff are super professional, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It is a calm and inspiring place that offers real insight into the country’s cultural journey. Highly recommended!

The museum is truly outstanding. I visited with my two kids, and it’s completely different from a traditional museum. There are plenty of interactive screens and glass installations, which made the experience engaging and immersive for children. My kids learned about shipbuilding, UAE culture, history, and—most importantly—the life and vision of Sheikh Zayed. Entry tickets are AED 70 for adults, and children under 18 can enter for free when accompanied by an adult. It’s a must-visit place—not just for the knowledge it offers, but also for its stunning architecture.

Incredible futuristic architecture straight out of the Dune movie. Make sure you go up to the free viewing platform. The exhibition provides a glimpse of the archeological and recent history of the region that may be formidable if you have already seen similar museums about the bronze age and pottery. The two life size ancient sailing ships might justify the entry ticket. Otherwise enjoy the building and the terrace restaurant.
