Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi: Complete Visitor Guide

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is a fully indoor, air-conditioned theme park on Yas Island with six themed lands and more than 30 rides and attractions. It is one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world. Every ride and show is under one roof, which makes it a genuinely different experience from outdoor parks in the UAE.

Tickets are AED 345 per person. Children under three enter free.

Key takeaways
  • 30+ rides and 60+ combined experiences across six themed zones, all indoor and air-conditioned
  • Tickets from AED 345 at Gentoo Tickets; children under 3 enter free
  • Arrive at opening to ride headliners with short queues; weekdays outside school holidays are quietest
  • A Harry Potter themed land is under development - the first in the Middle East - but is not yet open; no official opening date announced

What is Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi?

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi opened on 25 July 2018 and covers over 1.65 million square feet on Yas Island, making it the world's largest fully indoor theme park at opening. Six themed zones each take a different corner of the Warner Bros. catalogue, from DC superheroes to classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

The indoor format is not a gimmick. Abu Dhabi summer temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Walking between rides in that heat is genuinely miserable. When I first visited in peak summer, stepping inside felt like the park was doing you a favour before you even reached the first ride. The temperature is controlled, the lighting is theatrical, and the park holds up in any season.

Six themed worlds. One roof. All of it air-conditioned.

The six themed zones

The park is compact enough to walk the entire circuit in about 15 minutes. No zone is more than a short walk from any other. The most efficient route is to start at the plaza and move through each zone in sequence.

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi Theme Park Scooby Doo
Scooby found the mystery. It was a miracle and no exit in sight. Zoinks.

Warner Bros. Plaza is the entrance hub. Parades, character meet-and-greets, and the best photo walls in the park are here. It is worth five to ten minutes on arrival, then move on and come back later.

Cartoon Junction is built for young children. Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera characters dominate the theming, with gentle spinners and a carousel that admit children from 90 cm. Queues are short. The murals here are the best family photo spots in the park, and the pace is easy enough that small children do not tire quickly.

Bedrock is the Flintstones zone. Stone-age architecture, a family raft ride, and calm coasters make it the easiest zone for young children and adults who want a pause between bigger rides. Good for toddlers. You can cover it in 30 minutes.

Gotham City is the atmospheric centre of the park. The streets are dark, the rain effects are persistent, and it genuinely feels like a film set rather than a theme park zone. Two of the top rides are here. The queues are the longest in the park. Go first thing or return after 5 PM when families start to leave.

Dynamite Gulch runs stunt shows and cartoonish flat rides. Pick up a show schedule at Guest Relations near the entrance - shows run at fixed times and are worth building your day around. This zone works well for a mid-visit break.

Metropolis is Superman and Justice League territory. Interactive shooter rides and big-screen simulators make this a strong zone for families who want to do something together, rather than take turns waiting at height-restricted rides.

Which rides should you not miss?

The park has more than 30 attractions. Five have the longest queues for a reason - prioritise them in the first 90 minutes of your visit.

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi Theme Park Knight Flight
Batman showed up. Queue did not move any faster.

Batman: Knight Flight (minimum height: 120 cm) is the most technically accomplished ride in the park. It is a dark flight ride through Gotham City sets with motion elements and a clear narrative. On a first visit, the scale of the sets catches most people off guard. Ride it first if you ride nothing else.

Justice League: Warworld Attacks (minimum height: 105 cm) is an interactive shooter where each rider gets a gun and scores points throughout the ride. High replay value - families tend to want to go again to beat their score.

Fast and Furry-ous (minimum height: 110 cm) is the Road Runner coaster. It is faster and more intense than it looks. Teens and adults enjoy it; children at the 110 cm minimum height may find it quick.

Scarecrow Scare Raid (minimum height: 120 cm) is the park's darkest experience. Theatrical, unsettling, and aimed at older guests. Not suitable for children under about 10 regardless of height.

The Flintstones Bedrock River Adventure (minimum height: 105 cm) is a family raft ride with light drops and prehistoric scenery. It is the calmest of the five headliners and works well between thrill rides.

When is the best time to visit Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi?

Weekday mornings outside UAE school holidays are consistently the quietest time to visit. The park opens at 11:00 AM. Arrive five minutes before opening, head straight to Batman: Knight Flight, then Justice League or Fast and Furry-ous. All three can be done in under 90 minutes with short queues.

Weekends and UAE public holidays see the longest waits. The Christmas to New Year period is the busiest stretch of the year. If visiting then, the opening strategy still applies - the first 90 minutes are always calmer than midday.

The park is indoors, so season does not affect the experience. Summer is actually quieter than many visitors expect, because UAE residents often travel abroad during July and August. If you are visiting specifically in summer, it is one of the more manageable theme park experiences in the region.

Where should you eat inside Warner Bros. World?

The park has more than a dozen food and beverage outlets. All serve halal food. Menus flag vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options at most outlets.

Big Belly Burger (Metropolis) is the most practical choice for families. A combo meal - burger, fries, and drink - runs around AED 57. Quick service, superhero theming, and a menu that covers adults and children without much compromise. It is the easiest mid-visit stop if you want to eat without losing momentum.

Hollywood Trattoria (Warner Bros. Plaza) is the sit-down option. Pizza, pasta, and salads in a film-studio setting. Better for families who want a proper break and are not in a rush between rides.

The Starlight (Warner Bros. Plaza) is the park's most formal restaurant. Steaks, lamb chops, and desserts. Price-check with the park directly before visiting as menu pricing is not published online.

Lockers at Guest Relations hold purchases while you ride. Outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the park.

How to get to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi?

By car or taxi: Yas Island is about 20-30 minutes from central Abu Dhabi and 45-90 minutes from Dubai, depending on traffic. Free parking is available on-site at the park.

Yas Express shuttle: A free shuttle bus runs every 20-30 minutes within Yas Island, connecting Yas Plaza Hotels, Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Yas Mall, and Warner Bros. World. You need a valid park e-ticket to board. It does not connect to Abu Dhabi city centre.

Public bus: Bus 102 runs from Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station, near Al Wahda Mall, to Yas Island. The fare is AED 2-4 per trip with a Hafilat card. From the Yas Island stop it is a short walk to the park entrance. Current timetable here.

Is there a Harry Potter land coming to Warner Bros. World?

Yes. In November 2022, Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a Harry Potter themed land at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. It will be the first Harry Potter themed land in the Middle East.

The expansion covers approximately 40,000 square metres, adding roughly 26% to the park's current footprint. Planned areas include Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade Village, and The Forbidden Forest. Three new rides are confirmed. A new Superman roller coaster is also under development alongside the Harry Potter land.

Enabling works began in August 2025. The land is under construction and is not yet open. No official opening date has been announced. If you are planning a future trip and want to include the Harry Potter land, watch the official park page for updates.
