⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Full Review) This park does not ease you in it jumps straight into “hold my bag, I’ll scream for you.” Motiongate Dubai is basically a love letter to movies, except the movies throw you around at high speed. From the moment you walk in, everything feels cinematic big sets, dramatic entrances, and rides that don’t mess around. What I loved is the mix. You’ve got full on thrill rides that make you question your life choices, right alongside fun, immersive attractions that are more about storytelling and visuals. The movie themes are actually done well it’s not just a name slapped on a ride. You genuinely feel like you’ve stepped into different film worlds as you move through the park. The queues were reasonable, the park was clean, and it never felt confusing to get around. There are plenty of spots to grab food and drinks when you need a break (or emotional recovery time after a ride), and shaded areas that help when the Dubai heat kicks in. Christmas is also just on another level, its magical. It’s the kind of place where you go in thinking, “We’ll stay a couple of hours,” and suddenly it’s dark and you’re debating one last ride. Whether you’re a movie fan, a thrill seeker, or just someone who enjoys controlled chaos, Motiongate delivers. Pro tip: wear comfy clothes, secure your loose items, and don’t skip rides just because they look tame some of them are sneaky intense. Would 100% go again. 🎬🎢

This is a nice park. It really wasn’t what I expected. I’m more into the thrill rides, but I could see this being a really good park to take the kids. The DreamWorks indoor section is absolutely incredible. The theme is top notch.

I recently spent the day at Motiongate, and had an enjoyable experience overall. The first thing that struck me was the staff. From the moment we walked through the gates, they were exceptionally friendly - perhaps some of the most welcoming I’ve encountered in any park - even Disney! From the operators to the retail team, everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, which makes a huge difference to the overall experience. There were some definite highlights, particularly in the DreamWorks area, which is impressive; the Shrek ride was charming, and the How to Train Your Dragon roller coaster was a real standout (even if it was running on a very reduced capacity of one single train!). These were high-quality, immersive experiences that really stood out in the park. On the flip side, the Ghostbusters ride was really underwhelming and disappointing, as it’s such a fun theme and the experience was just really poor. From my perspective, having visited over 60 theme parks around the world, Motiongate feels like it’s missing a true headline roller coaster. While the existing roller coasters like the Capitol Bullet Train and Now You See Me coasters are good fun and well-executed, nothing quite hits that ‘must-ride’ status. The park is well laid out and easy to navigate, and unlike some other local offerings, it felt lively and full of character. It’s definitely my preferred choice in the Dubai, offering a much more complete experience than IMG World of Adventures. In summary, it was a great day out with fantastic staff and a variety of rides that are worth experiencing. We visited when the opened at 11am and the park was very quiet until around 2pm. It meant all rides were practically walk-on, so if you’re looking to fit in lots of rides, get there early in the day.

The amusement park was beautifully designed and exceptionally well organized, offering an impressive variety of rides. The decorations and streets were equally enchanting, reminiscent of a cartoon village. I visited the park twice during my trip to Dubai, and if I return in the future, I would certainly visit again to enjoy its unique atmosphere.

We had a blast here for the whole day. There is something for everyone- the kids, young adults and adrenaline junkies. The park is partly outdoors so check the whether before you book tickets. Winters should be the best time . Parking is free but the food is over priced inside the park . Outside food Is not allowed but you can carry a water outlet which can be refilled at the multiple drinking water stations .
