House of Pearls Tour

The pearl museum tour in Ras Al Khaimah was truly beyond my imagination. During the 2-hour tour, I felt completely transported to another world filled with history, culture, and incredible stories. Our tour guide, Taghi, was absolutely incredible — very knowledgeable, passionate, and able to explain everything in such a clear and engaging way. Learning about the stages of pearl farming and how people in the past used to dive deep into the sea to collect oysters containing pearls was absolutely fascinating. Every detail of the experience was amazing, from the storytelling to the atmosphere itself. This was honestly one of the greatest activities that can be done in Ras Al Khaimah. I left the tour feeling happy, inspired, and deeply impressed by the rich pearl heritage of the UAE. Highly recommended for anyone visiting RAK. Also, I would like to update something for future visitors: online it mentions that there is a dress code for the tour, but in reality no specific dress code is required. Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in and simply enjoy the experience.

This trip was well worth doing. A James Bond feel from being transported by motorboat to a freestanding structure in the middle of the lagoon. Othman was excellent. Engaging and knowledgeable. If you think you’re going to doze off, forget it, Othman will be asking questions 😁 Fascinating information and the opening of the oyster to reveal a pearl was memorable. A special mention to the support crew who brought us there and regularly offered us drinks. At one stage when we were outside the structure I noticed one of the crew quietly following us with a fan. That’s attention to detail and professionalism. Well done to all involved 👏

I visited Suwaidi Pearls with my family, and it was truly an exceptional and one-of-a-kind experience. From start to finish, the visit was both educational and memorable, offering a rare insight into one of the region’s most fascinating cultural traditions. Mr. Taki took us by boat to the pearl farming station located on the water near the mangroves, which in itself was a wonderful experience. Once there, he gave a clear and engaging explanation of how pearl farming works, using illustrations and demonstrations. He also showcased traditional pearl diving and hunting tools, which added great historical depth to the visit. One of the highlights was watching a shell being opened and discovering a real pearl inside — a moment that was especially exciting for the whole family. In my view, this is one of the most extraordinary experiences you can have in Ras Al Khaimah. I was also delighted to meet Mr. Al Suwaidi, whose passion and dedication to preserving this important cultural heritage are truly admirable. He showed some of his personal pearl collections, which made the visit even more special and meaningful. I highly recommend Suwaidi Pearls to anyone visiting Ras Al Khaimah, especially families and those interested in authentic cultural experiences.

Very impressive tour with a very knowledgeable guide Mr Othman Abdulla who made this tour a lifetime memory. The office toilets are very clean with water saving mode. The hospitality truly represented UAE culture ( dates , qahwa on entering into boat, then juices offered in the middle and end) The boat is equipped with clear explanatory boards about pearl harvesting, but what made it interesting is the clear explanation of each and every bit by our guide. We were 17 tourists for the session and in that 4 school kids made it very lively with their enthusiastic questions and Mr Othman explained very clearly. Overall its a very very nice experience .

The trip was so informative, interactive and interesting for all ages I’d say. I recommend it for couples and families. The crew and very professional from reception and through the tour. They are generous l, 2 cold juices were delivered through the trip, the setting is so clean and authentic.
